TURKEY AND NORWAY IN TERMS OF COMPARING THEIR COUNTRY DEVELOPMENT
The progress plans of the countries are similar to each other because a country which enlarges aconomically is counted as developed one. But the countries don’t develop at the same degree. We can give two countries –Turkey and a small country of the Europe, Norway as examples.
The development of a country is evaluated together with the Gross Domestic Product(GDP). Norway is one of the richest countries in respest to national income. Norway has the first rank in HDI. From 2000 to 2012 its economy has been very successful and the consume amount of every family with the members sharing the same house has increased. Norway is the second at the national per capita income in the world. Real Growth in GDP is 2, 7 percent (related to 2000 statistics).
Then we can ask why Turkey isn’t like Norway. First economical developments of the countries and the institutional cultures of them are very different from each other. The other reason is that Turkey has a unique identity historically, politically, psychologically. Besides the difference of economical development between these countries both diversifies Norway’s choices and presents it a prosperity level which is better than average in European Union (EU).
How does Turkey remove the difference of economical development existing between itself and the developed countries such as Norway?
The aim in order to be a developed country must be to ideally use individual force, knowledge and the quality of being an entrepreneur and also to sustain reform efforts determinedly in Turkey.

Consequently, if Turkey aspires to improve itself as much as Norway, the percentage of literate must be paid importance since it reflects educational status of the communities and also qualified labor force. The productivity must be increased by being attracted labor factor to more productive areas from less ones. The increase in productivity causes the inrease in profit so it supplies new investments and countyr development.
